Royal Monceau, 37 avenue Hoche, 75008 Paris.
2014 creation of Soline Aboville entitled « Flowers of Paris »: a carpet of flowers suggesting a paper cut-off creates an element of surprise when you enter the place. Cut in the plane of the iconic Paris Royal Monceau,Paris these flowers make up a French garden revisited echoing the ceiling of the restaurant Stéphane Calais. This installation is part of the framework of the collaboration with the Royal Monceau contemporary creation.
Designer-designer graduated from ENSAD, Soline Aboville was formed back in 2001 in art showcases for the House of Cartier. After creating the sets for 5 years showcases Louis Vuitton worldwide, she lent her talent, since the creation of his own agency, Manymany in 2008, many otherluxury houses such as Baccarat, Boucheron, Chanel jewelry , Diptych, Guerlain, Vacheron Constantin or Hennessy… « In my job as a set designer, I have learned through experience that the design of a facility ephemeral mother requires a lot of humility, flexibilityand creativity. But in the manner of fireworks, this facility should shine and the exercise is to be continually renewed. In retrospect, we can consider that all the projects I have been involved are different, like so many faces. But in fact, they have a family resemblance and common traits: the effects of light and mirrors, the use of color and sound, the kind that comes galloping, some form ofSimplicity, a large requirement the details … everything is brought together to create a form of experience and create the surprise visitor. «

This revolutionary project which has been maturing for years and led by the Tera-4 company will soon be put out to sea. In order to meet the expectations of an impatient public, Tera-4 has pushed the technical limits of multi-hull maritime transport by imagining a vessel with 4 hulls: quadrimaran. The most innovative high performance of such a concept has been guaranteed through the combination of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic advantages so as to access unrivalled, up until now, semi airborne navigation. Navigating between the sea and air, the Tera-4 quadrimaran guarantees, in addition to its stability and its rapidity, a decrease of 50% in energy consumption and thus opens up new horizons within the shipbuilding industry. The main innovation of the Tera-4 quadrimaran resides in the fact that 3 tunnels form the 4 hulls. Unlike existing single-hull boats, the quadrimaran « surfs » on natural airbags and stands out from the crowd due to its many advantages. It benefits from great stability as it is little affected by rolling and pitching: a significant benefit for those who suffer from sea sickness. It is also little affected by water/air friction and constraints linked to the action of waves due to the phenomena known as « planning » induced by the engulfment of air into its three tunnels: its consumption is significantly reduced by 50%.
The Tera-4 quadrimaran is both efficient and manoeuvrable and is an additional working tool for all operations which take place at sea. Robust with precision steering and an ability to turn flat in all circumstances, it offers new professional perspectives as a result.
42ème Fête Nationale des Emirats Arabes Unis célébrée au Burj Al Arab
/dans Evénements /par Florence BernardinThe luxurious Hotel, Burj Al Arab, celebrated the 42nd United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Day in magnificent style with perhaps the greatest visual performance ever to grace her sail. This show is a real technical and artistic prowess. 80 projectors and lasers thus gave life to this prestigious tower with 3D animations video maping over 300 m high. 21 points pyrotechnic firing on both sides of the arches of the building, 60 firing positions around the island and 17 platforms at sea for an aerial pyrotechnic front more 2km were installed for the occasion. This show XXL outlined the main steps of a historic journey of 42 years since the establishment of the UAE in 1971. Gerald Lawless, President and Group CEO of Jumeirah Group, said: “With Burj Al Arab as the canvas of the dazzling show organised by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, we are honoured to play such an integral role in celebrating this significant day. The achievements of the United Arab Emirates made in just 42 years lead to even brighter prospects for the future, with a number of ambitious projects and Dubai being chosen to host the World Expo 2020.” This event was a fitting finale to an incredible few days for the beginning with the announcement of the country’s successful bid to host Expo2020 in Dubai.
