XAC Joaillerie se met à l’heure mexicaine
XAC Joaillerie se met à l’heure mexicaine
/dans Joaillerie-Horlogerie /par Florence BernardinWith « Arquitecturas Mexicanas en Paris », her new collection of 10 unique rings, Ximena Alarcon Cavrois pays tribute to the Mexican architects who influenced her aesthetic view. Geometric volumes, play of colours thanks to precious stones (diamonds, sapphires, tourmalines…) and gold (yellow, white, red…), these jewels show the love that the XAC Joaillerie designer feels for her native country and for its architecture, quoting Luis Barragan, Ricardo Legorreta and Teodoro Gonzales de Leon as sources of inspiration.

/dans Evénements /par Florence BernardinThe 9th Festival des Arts Burlesques will take place from 19th until 25th February. A cultural event that allows the audience to meet the best French humorists such as Anne Roumanoff, godmother of the festival, François-Xavier Demaison, Kev Adams, Jérôme Commandeur… and some talents from abroad, with for example Virginie Hocq (Belgium), Thomas et Lorenzo (Switzerland and Italy), and Biyouna (Algeria). More than 150 artists will perform, especially in the Centre des Congrès. Saint-Étienne will offer a festive atmosphere, especially on the occasion of the Défilé Burlesque planned on February the 21st. Some other activities must be discovered, such as the creation of a farcical show by children aged from 9 to 11 years old, and the Tremplin Nouveau Talent, which allows anonymous humorists to show their talent in front of a professional jury… Every year, the Festival des Arts Burlesques attracts many tourists who enjoy visiting the region: castles, Le Corbusier, the Museum of Design… This year, the Tourist Information Office offers a package for a week-end « Rires et Design », including tickets for François-Xavier Demaison’s show and a night in a design hotel.
In Paris, rue de Miromesnil, gastronomy enthusiasts are invited to discover the kitchens of chef Guy Martin. In this professional and convivial place, they can learn recipes, techniques and secrets, on the occasion of thematic lessons such as the « quick lunch »: a half-hour of cooking, a half-hour of tasting, dessert in option. At the moment, Corinne Dauger presents Éclats de Chantier, a series of pictures (Oranges Mécaniques, Moïse et les Ferrailleurs, Apocalypse Now…) which show the beauty of construction sites, that seem violent and ugly at first sight.
